Getting started

At the department meeting, the work is decided by majority vote.
(Attendance is not compulsory, but a good idea if you want to influence execution etc.)

Before the work begins, an application must be submitted to the operations office in the department.
It could be a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher or similar.

What can you do?

This could be replacing kitchens, renovating bathrooms, etc. This applies to all improvement work.
It can also include e.g. terraces, or conservatories, partitions in connection with renovations.
However, it can not deal with white goods.

Setting up white goods.

Is there a monetary limit?

It depends on the decisions of the branch meeting.

None.

Material selection etc.

How much freedom of choice each tenant has is decided at the department meeting.

Tenant.

How is the work financed?

The department finances the work. This can mean taking out loans, drawing rights (LBF) or grants or loans from the housing organisation.

Tenant.

Completion of work?

Housing department.

Tenant.

Who will maintain and renew the improvements/installations and who owns them?

Departments.

Tenant.

What about the rent?

The rent will increase with the cost of the financing and increase in the utility value. However, this is temporary and should stop when loans are repaid.

As the tenant has to finance and maintain it themselves, it will not affect the rent.

Can the tenant get compensation when moving out?

Since the department has paid, no reimbursement will be required.

The answer is no. As the tenant owns and must take the white goods with them when moving.

Do I need to re-establish when moving out?

No, you don't.

If cabinets or similar fixtures and fittings have been moved, these must be re-established upon vacating the property.

Does the work affect the new tenant's terms?

The rent increase will continue with a new tenant. The given expiry date of the increase must be written into the rental contract.

The new tenant is not affected.
